DRID 20 and Federal Activities Inventory Reform Act (FAIR)
FAIR Act implemented 30 June 99
- Requires Federal agencies to submit to OMB and
make public an annual inventory of commercial
activities performed by civilian employees (depot
maintenance and military are excluded)
- Reporting civilian positions as reviewable for
purposes of the FAIR inventory does not mandate
these positions be competed. Only requires the
Army to consider competing these positions within
a reasonable time
DRID 20 coding used as basis as amended by
ASA(M&RA)
- Moved all GS-14 and below from Code G to Code H
- Moved all positions GS-12 and below from Code H
to Code I
- Certain functions and grades from Code I to Code
R based on functional matrix
