COL SCOTT A. SPELLMON
Colonel, Engineer
Center, Hohenfels, Germany (1993-1995); Battalion S3 and Executive Officer, 5th Engineer Battalion, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri (1999-2001); Commander, 317th Engineer Battalion and 3-3d Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 3d BCT, 3d Infantry Division, Fort Benning, Georgia (2003-2006); and Commander, 1st Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, Fort Polk, Louisiana (2008-2010). Colonel Spellmon’s operational assignments include Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation Enduring Freedom.

Colonel Spellmon is a graduate of the Engineer Officer Basic Course, Infantry Officer Advanced Course, Combined Armed Services and Staff School, Command and General Staff College, and the United States Army War College.

Colonel Spellmon’s military awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, Purple Heart, and the Combat Action Badge.

Colonel Scott Spellmon was commissioned as an Engineer Officer from the United States Military Academy (USMA) in 1986. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from USMA, a Master of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois, and a Master of Science Degree in National Security Strategy from the United States Army War College.

Colonel Spellmon’s previous assignments include Platoon Leader and Company Executive Officer, 8th Engineer Battalion, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas (1987-1990); Assistant S3 and Company Commander, 82d Engineer Battalion, Bamberg, Germany (1990-1993); Combat Engineer Observer/Controller, Combat Maneuver Training
