MissionThe mission of the Army Research Institute for the Behavioral and Social Sciences is to enhance individual and group performance along with group decision making and individual decision making. Advances in the behavioral and social sciences are being made to meet Army operational requirements. ARI is the primary research institute for conducting research and analysis on personnel performance and training. The research contributes to recruiting, selection, assignment, training, mission performance, and situation awareness. Technical assistance is provided for the organization, the people, and the technologies for the future affecting all parts of the Army. Quality people, leader development, and training are the Army’s Imperatives that ARI’s programs support. ARI is the Army’s primary laboratory conducting research and analysis on personnel, training, and leader development. Our focus is on the human element in the Army. Our research and analysis contributes to the entire life cycle of recruiting, selection, assignment, training, and mission performance. ARI:
